Elena’s Story
Elena taught second grade at Riffenburgh Elementary. She spent her weekends in her garden, on the trails, or planning the next family gathering. She was the one who remembered everyone's birthday and showed up with sunflowers.
She died unexpectedly on September 8th, far from home while traveling. This fund brings Elena back to Colorado and helps with her funeral and memorial costs. Anything given beyond those costs will support her mom, Diane, in the months ahead.

Elena taught my daughter to read and to be brave in the same year. She had a way of making every child feel like they were her favorite. We are holding the Marsh family close in our hearts.
Room 14's door will keep its sunflowers up all year. She made this school kinder just by walking in.
She brought sunflowers to my wife's service two years ago. It is an honor to bring some back for her now.
